Why RouteHero

Everything you need to run a route. Nothing you don't.

Built specifically for crane game, bulk vending, and amusement operators. Not a re-skinned vending VMS, not a generic field-service app.

Smart pick lists

Look at every machine's current stock and tell you exactly which prizes to grab before you head out. Cuts trips back to the warehouse by 80%.

Priority-scored routes

Every stop gets a score from days-since-collection, expected cash, and stock status. Hit urgent ones first. No more "Tuesday is north side" routines.

Warehouse + machine inventory

Plush, capsules, prize boxes, tokens. See what's at the warehouse, what's loaded in each machine, and what's running critical.

Service tickets

When a machine starts dropping plush or jamming coins, open a ticket. Track repair history per machine. Know which ones are costing you in downtime.

AI insights that actually help

"Big Red Claw revenue is 22% off — check the open ticket." "Tony's owed $356, pay before he asks." Real suggestions from your real data.

Commissions + 1099s

Log every payout. End of year, export 1099 totals per location in one tap. No more digging through Venmo screenshots in January.

Built by an operator

I built this because I was tired of running my route on spreadsheets.

I've operated claw and bulk vending machines for years. I tried the existing tools — they're either built for soda vending at enterprise scale, or they're spreadsheets with a paint job. Neither fits how an actual amusement operator works.

RouteHero is the app I wished existed: built for routes under 200 machines, priced for solo operators, and obsessed with the things that actually matter on collection day.

RouteHero vs. SmartClaw

Built for operators SmartClaw forgets.

SmartClaw is built for operators with telemetry-enabled machines and Nayax integrations. RouteHero is built for the rest of us — the operators running mixed fleets, older cabinets, and small routes that don't justify enterprise gear.

Our privacy commitment

Your route is your business. We mean that.

When you give an app this much access to your route data — locations, revenue, collection times, prize costs — you deserve to know exactly what we will and will not do with it.

We do not operate a competing route

RouteHero is a software company. We will never own or operate machines that compete with yours. Our incentive is your success, not your data.

We do not market to your locations

Your location list belongs to you. We will never contact your venues, sell your location data, or use it to recruit other operators.

We do not sell aggregate data

No "anonymized industry insights" sold to manufacturers, distributors, or insurance companies. Your numbers stay your numbers.

How it works

Set up in 10 minutes. Run your route forever.

1

Add your locations + machines

Import from a spreadsheet or type them in. Set commission rates per location, override per machine.

2

Use it on your route

Log collections, restocks, and service issues with two taps each. The dashboard updates in real-time.

3

Get paid + pay locations

Track every dollar across your fleet. Cut commission checks with one tap. Export 1099s at year-end.

"I went from a paper notebook in my truck to running 30 machines from my phone. End-of-month is no longer a 4-hour spreadsheet session."

Pricing

Operator pricing, not enterprise pricing.

Most route management software starts at $50/mo and assumes you have 200+ machines. We start at $0 and assume you might have 5.

FAQ

Questions we get from operators.

Do I need Nayax or telemetry-enabled machines?
No. RouteHero works for fully manual operations. Type in your collection, snap a photo of the cash counter if you want — that's it. Telemetry integrations (Nayax, Cantaloupe) are available on the Fleet tier for operators who already have them, but they're optional.
How is this different from SmartClaw?
SmartClaw is built around Nayax telemetry and remote machine control — great if you have those machines, expensive if you don't. RouteHero is built for the typical small/mid operator running mixed equipment: some Nayax, mostly not. Our free tier covers 10 machines (vs. their 2), and our paid tiers are roughly half the price for similar machine counts.
Will my data stay private?
Yes. We don't operate machines, we don't market to your locations, and we don't sell aggregated data. Your location list and revenue numbers are yours. See our privacy policy for the specifics.
Can I import from a spreadsheet?
Yes. CSV import for locations and machines is supported during onboarding. If your spreadsheet is unusual (lots of operators have homegrown sheets that grew over years), email mitch20fan@icloud.com and I'll help you map it in — usually takes 10 minutes.
What happens at year-end with 1099s?
RouteHero tracks every commission payout you log all year. At year-end, export per-location 1099 totals as a single CSV. You hand that to your accountant or use it to fill out the forms yourself. No more digging through Venmo, Zelle, or cash logs in January.
When are iOS and Android apps live?
Submitting to the App Store and Google Play during the beta. Beta users today access RouteHero via the web app (works on phones) and via a downloadable test build. Once the App Store version is live, beta users get a one-tap upgrade.
Who built this?
Mitchell — a working operator running a real route. RouteHero is built nights and weekends, by someone who actually does collections, fights coin jams, and pays commissions every month. Not a venture-funded team trying to "disrupt vending."
What if I have feedback or a feature request?
Email mitch20fan@icloud.com. Beta feedback shapes the roadmap directly — features have shipped within 48 hours of an operator email more than once.
