Frequently asked questions

What is RouteHero?

RouteHero is a route management mobile app for crane game and bulk vending operators. It helps you track machines, log collections, manage prize inventory, generate pick lists, pay commissions to locations, and prep your 1099s at year-end.

What does it cost?

The Free plan is free forever for solo operators with up to 10 machines. Pro is $9/month and includes up to 3 team members, 50 machines, AI insights, service tickets, and 1099 export. Fleet is $29/month for businesses with employees — unlimited team members, unlimited machines, card reader sync (Nayax, Amusement Connect), FixTheCall call-in tickets, and an owner dashboard to see what your crew is doing.

How do I sign up for the beta?

Email hello@routehero.app with the subject "Beta signup" and tell us roughly how many machines you operate and what kind. We're letting in the first 50 operators free for life on the Free plan.

Does RouteHero work with Nayax or Amusement Connect?

Yes! On the Fleet plan, you can connect Nayax card readers and Amusement Connect kiosks to automatically sync cashless revenue into RouteHero. Toggle them on in Settings > Integrations, link each reader to a machine, and card revenue shows up alongside your cash collections. If you have a different telemetry vendor you need, email us and we'll prioritize.

What is FixTheCall and how does it work with RouteHero?

FixTheCall is an AI receptionist that answers calls and texts for service businesses. When a location manager calls your number to report a broken machine, FixTheCall's AI captures the problem details via text, then automatically creates a service ticket in RouteHero. You see it in your app instantly — no manual entry needed. Available on Pro and Fleet plans. FixTheCall is a separate subscription starting at $49/mo.

Is my data private?

Yes. We don't sell your data. We don't share your location list with anyone. We don't operate a competing vending route. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.

How do I delete my account and data?

In the app, go to More → Settings → Account → Delete account. Your data is permanently deleted within 30 days (encrypted backups may persist up to 90 days). You can also email privacy@routehero.app to request immediate deletion.

How do I export my data?

In the app, go to More → Settings → Export. You can download CSVs of your machines, locations, collections, payouts, and inventory. This works on the Solo tier too — your data is portable.

Can I use RouteHero for a route besides claw and vending?

Technically yes — anything that involves visiting locations, collecting money, paying commissions, and managing inventory. We've heard from operators in laundromat machines, ATM routes, and amusement park concessions. But the language and AI insights are tuned for claw + vending operators specifically.

Will RouteHero work without internet?

The app caches your data so you can view your machines, locations, and recent collections offline. New collections you log offline will sync automatically when you reconnect. This matters because half our operators tell us they have machines in basement gamerooms with bad signal.

Who built RouteHero?

Mitchell — a claw and bulk vending operator who got tired of running his route on spreadsheets. RouteHero is the app I wished existed when I had 30 machines on a paper notebook. We're independent, bootstrapped, and not part of any vending VMS conglomerate.
